• 0: indicates the worst value, therefore the maximum degree of negative impacts of overtourism.
• 100: indicates the best value, therefore the minimum degree of negative impacts of overtourism.

Overtourism Pillar is a framework of 3 indexes described below.

Tourism Pressure Index

Tourism Pressure Index evaluates, in the range [0,100], the impact of tourism on the host community, where:

• 0: indicates the worst value, therefore the maximum tourist flow pressure on the host community.
• 100: indicates the best value, therefore the minimum tourist flow pressure on the host community.

Tourism Supply Pressure Index

Tourism Supply Pressure Index evaluates, in the range [0,100], the impact of tourism offer on the host community, where:

• 0: indicates the worst value, therefore the maximum tourist supply pressure on the host community.
• 100: indicates the best value, therefore the minimum tourist supply pressure on the host community.

OTA Intermediary Index

OTA Intermediary Index evaluates, in the range [0,100], the level of intermediation by online travel agencies, where:

• 0: indicates the worst value, therefore the maximum level of OTA intermediation.
• 100: indicates the best value, therefore the minimum level of OTA intermediation.
